RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Returns and Refunds

Original artworks can only be returned if you are not satisfied with them.

You must email us within 48 hours of delivery (info@grietbertels.com) to indicate that you wish to return the artwork.

Returns are only accepted after written confirmation and instructions from us by email.

The artwork must be returned in its original packaging and well-protected to prevent damage during transport.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.

The artwork must arrive back to us undamaged and in perfect condition.

Once we have received and inspected the artwork, we will refund the purchase price. Original shipping costs are not refundable.

If the artwork is returned damaged or used, no refund will be issued.

Commissions, POD, and custom-made works

These products are made specifically for you and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged, except in the case of damage during delivery.

Check your order immediately upon receipt. If there is any damage, notify us within 48 hours at info@grietbertels.com, with clear photos of the product and the packaging.

In case of confirmed damage, we will offer a solution, such as a replacement or a refund, depending on the situation.

Damaged items must also be returned in the original packaging according to our instructions.

Returns without prior contact and approval will not be accepted.

Exchanges

There is no direct exchange option.

If a return of an original artwork is approved and completed, a new purchase can be made separately.

EU 14-Day Withdrawal Right

If you live within the European Union, you have the legal right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, unless the product was made to order or customized for you.

For original artworks, this right only applies if:

  • the artwork is returned in perfect condition,

  • the return request is made within the 14 days,

  • and the return procedure is followed.

Custom-made works, commissions, and POD products are not covered by this withdrawal right.

Refunds

Refunds will be issued after the returned item has been received and inspected.

Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Please note that it may take a few days for your bank or credit card company to process the refund.

If more than 15 business days have passed since the return was approved, please contact us at info@grietbertels.com.

Delivery and Damage

All orders are processed and shipped as quickly as possible.

Delivery times are indicative and depend on production and shipping partners.

Griet Bertels is not responsible for delays caused by external parties.

Prices and Payment

All prices on the website are in Euros, including VAT.

Orders are only processed after full payment has been received.

Liability

Griet Bertels is not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit.

Maximum liability is limited to the value of the order.

Colors in digital images may slightly differ from the actual colors; this is not considered a product defect.

Applicable Law and Disputes

All orders and agreements are governed by Belgian law.

In case of disputes, the competent court is the one in the district where the seller is located.
